7 Reasons Why 2016 Is Your Year

Yes, I know, every year is your year. But this year is different. Why? Because you have begun to do the things that bring success. Check out this list of 7 things that are bringing you closer to the life you desire.

#1 You have your goals written down– Goals are not real unless they are written. Writing your goals brings your ideas into physical form. This is the first step towards realizing them.

#2 You have a clear vision of the person you want to become– Jim Rohn said,  “Success is not to be pursued, it is attracted by the person we become.” A dream is never about the dream itself. It is about the person we become along the way.

#3 You don’t let tough days stop you from being disciplined and committed– Everyone has bad days. Those that accomplish their goals don’t allow them to knock them off their game plan.

#4 You have a plan and are making steps(even small ones) each day– John Maxwell’s Law of Process says, “success happens daily not in a  day.” What matters most is what you do day-to-day. Making small steps everyday eventually brings great results.

#5 You stopped being concerned with what people think– Everyone cares what people think.  However, being concerned causes you to become paralyzed. When you are doing anything of significance, you will have objections and criticism. Be prepared..if you step out, someone is not going to like your shoes.

#6 You are unafraid to ask for help– Every great leader knows that nothing can be accomplished alone. There are no self-made successes. Everyone needs help at some point, especially when you are going where you have never gone before.

#7 You are willing to invest in yourself– Investing in material things will never bring you success; investing in yourself  will.

Let me know what you think. What other things would you add to this list?

A great way to invest in yourself is to join is for Intentional Leadership on March 12th. Will you join us? Click here to learn more
